Property Tax Abatement*
New construction in the city of Newark is eligible to apply for 5 years of tax abatement. Rosa Signature's home is eligible for a 5-year tax abatement program. Then the first year there is no tax on the building, the second year you pay 20% of the normal tax on the building, the third year 40 % of normal tax, the fourth year 60%, the 5th year 80%. The 6th year tax is at the full property tax. The tax abatement provides you approximately 56% property tax savings over the 5-year period of initial ownership and your property taxes are tax-deductible up to $10,000 per year.
